The Culture Collective - Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These are the terms on which we run this website, sell tickets and admit you to our events. Please read them before you buy.

We are The Culture Collective Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company number: 11917676. Registered office: International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR. VAT registration number: 341 2452 36. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Culture Collective Ltd, and "you" means the person using this website or buying tickets. Our shows are billed as The Culture Collective Presents.

These terms cover three things:
  1. Your use of this website (section 2).
  2. Tickets you buy directly from us through this website or our official online checkout (sections 3 to 7).
  3. Your attendance at our events, whichever way you bought your ticket (sections 8 to 11).

By using the website, placing an order or attending an event, you accept these terms. If you buy tickets for other people, you are responsible for making sure they know about and follow them, in particular sections 7 and 8.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information (see section 12).

2. Using this website
The content of this website, including text, images, artwork, logos and event branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You must not:
  • use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access the website or to buy tickets;
  • scrape, copy or republish content without our written permission;
  • interfere with the website's security or operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it;
  • use the website for anything unlawful.

We may cancel any order placed in breach of these rules.

The website is provided as is. We work to keep event information accurate and the site available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw it at any time. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement; we are not responsible for their content.

3. Buying tickets from us
When you buy through this website or our official online checkout, your contract is with The Culture Collective Ltd. Our checkout and payment processing are operated on our behalf by specialist ticketing and payment providers.

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when your order is confirmed and your tickets are issued. If we cannot accept your order, for example because the event has sold out or a listing error has occurred, we will tell you and refund any payment taken.

A few rules apply to every order:
  1. You must be at least 18 to place an order. Age restrictions for attending a specific event are shown on its event page (see section 8).
  2. We may limit the number of tickets per person or per card. Orders over the limit, or orders we reasonably believe were placed by automated means or for commercial resale, may be cancelled.
  3. Check your order carefully before paying, especially the event, date, city, ticket category and your email address. Tickets are delivered to the email address you give us.
  4. If a ticket is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after confirmation.

4. Prices, fees and payment
The price for each ticket, plus any booking or transaction fees, is shown before you pay. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay us. Prices include VAT or local sales taxes where these apply.

We do not use dynamic or surge pricing. Ticket prices for a category are set when the event goes on sale and do not rise with demand.

We promote events in several countries, so prices are set per event and shown in the currency stated at checkout. If that is not your card's currency, your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and charges; those are outside our control.

Payment is taken in full when you order. If payment fails or is reversed, we may cancel the order and the tickets.

5. Ticket delivery
Tickets are delivered electronically to the email address on your order, or made available through our ticketing platform, normally shortly after purchase. For some events, tickets are released closer to the event date to protect against unauthorised resale; the event page will say if so.

Please check your spam folder first. If you have not received your tickets 48 hours before the event, contact us at [contact email] so we can reissue them.

Each ticket's barcode admits one person and is valid once. Keep your tickets secure and do not share images of them: if a copied ticket is scanned first, entry on the original may be refused. We are not responsible for tickets that cannot be delivered because the email address on the order was wrong.

6. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Tickets are for a leisure event on a specific date, so the usual 14-day legal right to cancel an online purchase does not apply. Once confirmed, your order can only be cancelled and refunded as set out in this section. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Minor changes. Supporting artists, stage and door times, running order, programme content and seating configuration can change, and advertised artists other than the headline act are not guaranteed to appear. Changes of this kind do not entitle you to a refund. At an event featuring several artists, the withdrawal of one of them is a line-up change, not a cancellation.

Rescheduled events and material changes. A material change means the event moves to a different date, moves to a different venue (other than a comparable venue in the same city or local area), or the headline act changes. If this happens, your ticket stays valid for the revised event automatically; you do not need to do anything to keep it. If you prefer not to attend the revised event, you can instead request a refund of the ticket's face value within 14 days of us announcing the change. Booking and transaction fees are not refunded where the event is still going ahead. If you do not request a refund within that window, your ticket remains valid for the revised event.

Cancelled events. If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, we will refund everything you paid us for the tickets, including booking and transaction fees. Refunds for cancelled events are processed without you needing to apply, where you bought directly through our checkout; we will contact you to confirm.

How refunds work. Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of the relevant announcement and in any event as soon as we reasonably can. If you bought through one of our ticketing partners rather than directly from us, your refund comes from that partner under its own process (see section 9).

What refunds do not cover. Refunds are limited to what you paid for the tickets and, where this section says so, fees. We do not refund travel, accommodation or other costs connected with an event (see section 10), and no refund is due where you are refused admission or removed for the reasons in section 8.

7. Resale and transfer
Tickets are sold for personal use. You may pass a ticket on to someone you know, at no more than the total you paid for it (face value plus any fees). Where an event is ticketed in the buyer's name, the event page explains how transfers work.

You must not resell a ticket for profit or offer it commercially, including through secondary ticketing sites, or as part of a package, promotion, hospitality offer or prize without our written consent. We may cancel, without refund, any ticket resold or offered in breach of this section, and refuse entry to anyone holding it.

We cannot guarantee tickets bought from unauthorised sellers. They may be counterfeit, duplicated or already cancelled, and entry on them may be refused. Buy only from us or the authorised sellers listed on the event page.

8. Admission and conduct at events
Admission is subject to these terms and the venue's own rules. Security searches may be a condition of entry.

Event pages state any age restrictions. Bring photo ID where an age limit applies, and note that under-16s must be accompanied by an adult where the event page says so.

We and the venue may refuse admission or remove you, without refund, on reasonable grounds. These include: intoxication; threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour; unauthorised trading or promotional activity; unauthorised recording; breach of venue rules; and conduct that risks the safety or enjoyment of others.

A few practical points:
  • Latecomers may be asked to wait for a suitable break in the performance.
  • Personal phone photography is normally fine unless the event page or venue says otherwise. Professional cameras and audio or video recording equipment are not allowed without our written permission.
  • Events may be filmed or photographed. By attending, you consent to appearing incidentally in crowd footage and images used by us and our partners for the event and its promotion.
  • Some performances use strobe lighting, haze, special effects and high sound levels. Warnings are given on the event page or at the venue where we can.
  • Please follow the reasonable instructions of venue and event staff.

9. Tickets bought through ticketing partners
We also sell through authorised ticket agents and venue box offices in some territories. If you buy from one of them, your purchase contract, including payment, fees, delivery and the refund process, is with that agent under its own terms. Sections 6 to 8, 10 and 11 of these terms still apply to the event itself and to your attendance.

The authorised sellers for each event are listed on its event page.

10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and because tickets are sold for personal use, we are not responsible for business losses.

We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other expenses connected with an event that is changed, rescheduled or cancelled. We recommend waiting until an event is confirmed before booking these, and choosing refundable options where you can.

Personal belongings are brought to events at your own risk, except where loss or damage is caused by our or the venue's negligence.

Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total liability to you in connection with a ticket purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for the tickets concerned, including fees.

11. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. These include severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, fire, flood, government action or restrictions, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, failure of utilities or transport networks, and the serious illness of a performer.

If such an event forces a cancellation or reschedule, section 6 still applies and you keep the refund rights set out there. What this section limits is any further liability for the disruption itself.

12. Your personal information
We use your personal information to process orders, deliver tickets, run events safely and, where you have agreed, to tell you about future shows. Details are in our [Privacy Policy]. We handle personal information in line with UK and EU data protection law. Venues, ticketing partners and payment providers may also process your information for entry, payment and security purposes under their own privacy policies.

13. Complaints and contact
If something goes wrong, contact us first and we will try to put it right.
  • Email: support@theculturecollective.co.uk
  • Post: The Culture Collective Ltd, International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR

We aim to respond within 5 working days. If you remain unhappy, you can seek help from your local consumer advice service (in the UK, Citizens Advice). If you live outside the UK, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your own country (see section 14).

14. General legal terms
These terms, and changes to them. These terms, the relevant event page and your order confirmation set out your agreement with us for a purchase. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published when you place your order applies to that order.

If part of these terms is invalid. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

If we delay enforcing. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Transferring the agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation; we will tell you if this happens and it will not affect your rights. You may only transfer your ticket as allowed by section 7.

Third parties. These terms are between you and us. No one else has rights under them.

Governing law and where you can bring a claim. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in another country, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live; nothing in these terms takes those away. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also use your local courts, and if you live in another country you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts where its law allows.
